Elofit

ELOFIT is a system of electro-fusion pipe fittings and special components manufactured in High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) (PE100) PN 16-S5 used in installations for conveying water and gas under pressure.

ELOFIT is manufactured in compliance with the UNI Standards referring to HDPE fittings, certified by DVGW and manufactured in accordance to the provisions of DM 24/11/1984 and meets the requirements set by the article 102 of the Health department act and Watermark
ELOFIT pipe & fittings are manufactured by injection moulding of High Density Polyethylene and achieve the highest qualities of:
  • Corrosion resistance
  • Resistance to stray currents
  • Impact resistance
  • Resistance to chemical agents
  • Abrasion resistance
  • Resistance to micro-organisms
  • Reliability in excess of 50 years
  • Toxicity
ELOFIT is suitable for conveying and distributing: drinking water and liquids for use in foodstuffs, combustible and inert gases and for use in water treatment plants, centralised irrigation, sewage systems, fire protection systems and pipe relining.

The ELOFIT system uses an electro-fusion joint connection process.

Inside the fittings there are built-in electric resistance coils connected to external terminals. When electricity is applied and passes through them their resistance generates the necessary heat for the fusion of the polyethylene. Energy is transmitted directly to the contact surfaces of the fitting to pipe, and causes thermal fusion.
The main feature of ELOFIT pipe & fittings is the high quality and reliability of the weld. Once cooled, a consistent, robust, safe and reliable connection is obtained.
