NUPI Portugal was created from the union between NUPI Industrie Italiane and the Spanish company ITALSAN with the goal of strengthening and expanding our presence in Portugal with a sole and stronger strategy as regards design, distribution and post-sales service of piping systems (polypropylene PPR, polyethylene PE, multilayer) for plumbing, air conditioning and heating systems. One of the first installations carried out by NUPI Portugal was the renovation of air-conditioning and domestic hot water systems at the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon, the largest hospital in Portugal, using more than 30.000 metres of NIRON CLIMA and NIRON Beta pipes. NIRON is the system of polypropylene pipes and fittings for the distribution of hot and cold water in plumbing and air-conditioning systems. NIRON Beta, particularly suitable for use in large buildings and inustrial installations, was selected thanks to the special characteristics of the raw material which guarantees mechanical strength and durability, even at high temperatures and pressures.
