NUPI is proud to present the new ELOFIT fittings for geothermal applications. ELOFIT is a complete High Density Polyethylene system of electrofusion and spigot fittings and special components for the transport of water and gas under pressure. Geothermal energy is the form of energy that derives from the heat produced by geological sources present in the subsoil and is a form of alternative and renewable energy. It is based on the exploitation of the natural heat of planet Earth, due to the thermal energy issued by the natural nuclear decay processes of the radioactive elements such as uranium, torio and potassium, naturally contained in the rocks present inside the earth. This causes the temperature increases, starting from the earth's surface towards the center of the earth, according to a geothermal gradient, variable in depth according to the rocks present. It is an energy that is always present and exploitable, regardless of the meteorological conditions present in the place where it is exploited and does not present daily cyclical phenomena typical of solar energy.
